Poorvi Saraiya graduated from the Kalakshetra Foundation, Chennai, where she trained across Indian painting, sculpture, and several classical and folk art practices.

Her years at Kalakshetra shaped her understanding of art with a deep respect for material, patience and the belief that art is meant to be felt, not just seen.

She later chose to specialize in contemporary painting, bringing together her classical foundation with her evolving contemporary voice.

During her years at the Kalakshetra Foundation in Chennai, she spent years surrounded by artists and art students whose work was exceptional yet often remained unseen beyond their immediate circles.
