This artwork celebrates the agricultural field as the foundation of food, livelihood, and human survival. Fertile soil, water, sunlight, and the dedicated labour of farmers come together to nurture crops and sustain communities. The field represents more than cultivated land; it embodies a cycle of growth, patience, and nourishment. Through this work, I highlight the deep connection between nature, agriculture, and the hands that transform soil into sustenance.

About G. Jeganathan
I come from the valiance soil of Karisal Kaadu, where cracked earth and scarce water shape a landscape of resilience. My practice is deeply rooted in the lives of farmers who transform barrenness into bounty. I explore agriculture not merely as a livelihood but as a quiet rebellion of life against extinction. Through my work, I witness, interpret, and express this fragile balance between land, labor, survival, and hope.
